Women with Flavour: The Parea Gathering is an evening created around one simple idea, when good women come together, good things happen.
The story behind Women with Flavour
Women with Flavour began with six women around a table.
I had been inspired by strong women who understood the value of bringing women together over dinner. I loved the simplicity of it: good food, good company and women having real conversations.
That inspired me to create Women with Flavour, but I wanted to add something of my own.
I called it Dinner with intention.
At each dinner, I bring a question to the table. Not a networking question and not something with a right or wrong answer, but a question that gives us somewhere meaningful to begin.
We talk. We listen. We share our different experiences and perspectives. Sometimes we agree, sometimes we don’t, and sometimes another woman’s words make us look at something completely differently.
And, somewhere between the food and the conversation, connections begin to form.
Then I was introduced to the beautiful Greek word Parea, the company of friends; people coming together to share food, conversation, ideas, experiences and time.
I immediately recognised it.
Parea was the word for what I had already been creating with Women with Flavour.
A place where women can come together without competition or expectation. Where we can want the best for ourselves while also wanting the best for the woman sitting beside us. That’s why this gathering feels like the natural next chapter:
