Training & Professional Development

Over the past 30 years, I have intentionally invested in my own learning and development, attending training days, courses, workshops and weekends away to continually expand my knowledge and add to my skill base.

My learning has taken me in many different directions, from coaching, mindset and leadership to breathwork, emotional wellbeing, energy work and the mind-body connection.

I have always been curious about people, why we behave the way we do, why we repeat certain patterns and, most importantly, what can help us create meaningful and lasting change.

I believe that no single approach works for everyone. Everything I have learned over those 30 years has given me a broader range of tools and a deeper understanding that I can draw upon when working with the individual in front of me.

Bringing My Training Together

For me, training has never simply been about collecting qualifications or certificates (Although I do love a certificate lol). It has been a conscious journey of learning, curiosity and personal development that has continued for many years.

Every course, training day, workshop and weekend has added another piece to my understanding of people, patterns, behaviour, emotions and the connection between the mind and body.

Alongside my professional training, I also bring my own lived experience. Together, these have shaped the way I work today.

I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all formula. I listen to the person in front of me and draw upon the tools, techniques, knowledge and experience that may best support them.

This is also part of the foundation behind LifeEdits™,  helping people recognise the patterns and stories that may have shaped their lives, understand what they no longer want to carry forward, and begin making intentional edits to what comes next.

My Approach Is Continually Evolving

I don’t believe we ever stop learning.

Even with 30 years of intentionally investing in my own training and development, I am still curious. I still attend courses, explore new approaches and continue to add to my knowledge and skill base. As our understanding of the mind, body, nervous system and emotional wellbeing continues to evolve, I believe the way we support people should evolve too.

I don’t want to work from something I learned years ago simply because that’s the way I’ve always done it. I want to keep learning, questioning and growing. Every new piece of knowledge gives me another perspective, another tool and sometimes a completely different way of looking at something.

My approach today is the result of everything I have learned, experienced and practised so far, but I don’t see that learning as finished.

And I hope I never do.
