Under Penny’s leadership, The Living Leader has partnered with a diverse range of industries and sectors, including organisations such as Caterpillar, John Lewis, Thames Water, Anglo American, Novo Nordisk, National Grid, Wave Utilities, Bishop Bewick Education Trust. The company also provides the Leadership Faculty for The Marketing Academy.

Penny’s personal journey is as inspiring as her professional work. Having endured abandonment, bullying, and abuse throughout her early life, she made a defining decision as she approached her 50th birthday to transform her own life. Today, she is the living proof of the power of personal leadership, and she is deeply passionate about helping others take responsibility for their choices and become the people they truly want to be.

Over the years, Penny has coached and inspired Chief Constables, senior industry leaders, parents, and young people, guiding thousands towards empowerment, confidence, and responsibility. Widely recognised as a pioneer in personal leadership, she brings honesty, energy, and practical tools that spark transformation wherever she speaks or teaches.

The Mayor of Enfield, Cllr Margaret Greer

We are honoured to welcome The Mayor of Enfield, Cllr Margaret Greer, to our Authors Event, where she will join us to support and inspire.

From her early beginnings as a nursery assistant and social worker to her influential roles as a trade union representative, race equality officer, and now a public servant, Margaret’s journey has been defined by advocacy, service, and a deep commitment to equality. She is widely recognised as an inspirational speaker, mentor, and community activist.

Margaret is an experienced national officer with a strong track record in the non-profit sector, skilled in leadership, fundraising, research, and community engagement. A graduate of Middlesex University, she also participated in the prestigious Operation Black Vote MP Shadowing Scheme and the Pathway to Success programme at Magdalen College, Oxford University, and the Blavatnik School of Governance, sponsored by Lloyds Banking Group. She is a proud LWN graduate and has completed the Future Candidates Programme.

Her tireless dedication to fighting racism and inequality has been recognised at the highest levels. In 2016, she received the UNISON Black Members Nelson Mandela Award for her outstanding contributions to equality. In 2024, she was honoured with the ARA Achievement Recognition Award as Exemplary Political & Community Leader of the Year.

Beyond her civic duties, Margaret serves as London District Representative to the Methodist Conference (since 2021), Trustee of Hackney Methodist Church Circuit Steward, and Trustee of Boiler House Spaces, a community charity based in North Hackney. She is also a founding director of Caribbean Voices for Labour, a non-profit organisation dedicated to representing and empowering diverse communities.

Away from her professional commitments, Margaret is a passionate supporter of Manchester United Football Club and a keen follower of sport worldwide. Her leadership, compassion, and lifelong advocacy make her a powerful role model and a true inspiration to all who meet her.
