22 Apr A Journey Through Trauma
Trauma isn’t always loud. Sometimes, it shows up in the quiet moments—in the way we second-guess ourselves, in the fear that clings to our choices, or in the walls we build to feel safe. It can shape how we see ourselves and how we move through the world, often without us even realising.
For years, I lived in survival mode. I did what I needed to do to get through each day, bracing for the next blow, the next letdown, the next reminder that I didn’t feel safe in my own skin. My decisions came from fear. My self-worth was tied up in pain that wasn’t mine to carry. But one day, something shifted. I knew I couldn’t keep living like that, I couldn’t let what had been done to me continue to define me.
So, I chose to heal.
It wasn’t easy. Healing rarely is. It meant facing truths I’d buried, unlearning the stories I’d told myself, and sitting with feelings I’d spent years running from. But in doing so, I found strength I didn’t know I had. I began to reconnect with the real me, the version of myself that existed before the trauma. The one who deserved love, peace, and joy.
Healing isn’t about forgetting or pretending the past didn’t happen. It’s about honouring your story and finding the courage to write the next chapter on your own terms. It’s about turning inward, getting curious, and deciding, day by day, who you want to become.
Now, with over 30 years as a coach and energy healer, I have the privilege of supporting others on their healing journey. Not with quick fixes or empty promises, but by walking alongside them, holding space, and offering tools that truly support change.
You’re not broken. You’re becoming.
And your journey, just like mine, is worth every step.
